Sunflowers and Flower Photography

Hello. I am often cooped up inside because it is so hot outside, how are you all doing?

Recently, I was given sunflowers and other flowers to shoot indoors and out.

At first glance, it looks as if it was taken indoors, but it was taken outside. I had actually intended to take this picture on a sunny day, but it happened to be raining and cloudy.
The center of the sunflower is dark, so it seems to have a burden that one cannot see.

This photo was taken immediately after receiving the flowers.
The black and white is not too clear, and the overall picture is fresh and well balanced.
Unlike color, it does not give a sense of three-dimensionality, but it is still interesting to pursue shapes that look different from color.

The white flowers and the background are prints of photos I have taken in the past.
At first I was shooting with sunflowers, but it didn’t turn out the way I had imagined in my mind, so I matched them with white flowers. When I did that, the color of the background, the silhouette of the white petals and stems, and the three-dimensionality of the entire flower combined perfectly.
I always find it interesting that when I take experimental photographs, things happen that are different from my initial image.

It is already the middle of August, and in a few weeks it will be September. I’m not a big fan of summer, so I hope August will pass soon, but I plan to have fireworks before the month is over. It is the only way to make summer memories.

I hope you all have a pleasant summer.

Gorgeous Wisteria

Hello. I am not a fan of the heat, as it gets hotter and hotter all at once during Golden Week.
Still, I like to take pictures, so I went to take wisteria pictures, even though the sun is hot.

When photographed from a close distance, the petals are very beautiful. The leaves also look shining in the sunlight.
Wisteria is very beautiful and gorgeous when seen like this. Wisteria has long had an image of being an old-fashioned, austere flower rather than a gorgeous one, but as long as the wisteria is photographed in a way that makes the most of it, its original gorgeousness can be clearly conveyed.

What I wanted to capture the most this time was the wisteria looking like lace. I was able to take one photo that looked like lace.
I hope you have a pleasant holiday in the latter half of Golden Week.

Spring weather

Hello! It’s getting warmer and warmer these days, so much so that I don’t even need a jacket during the daytime.
The other day, I went to Kannonzaki to see the Dali exhibition at a local museum. After the exhibition, I walked along the street and saw a cherry tree in full bloom, so I took a picture of it.

They were so lovely that I wanted to look at them forever. It seems to be a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in the local area, and people regularly visit to admire and photograph the cherry blossoms.

Changing the location, I went to Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine after stopping by an art museum in Kamakura. It is still a popular shrine with many people coming to see the sights.
As I walked around the shrine grounds, I saw mimosa trees in bloom, which intrigued me because I had never seen mimosa trees before.

The wind was blowing, so it was difficult to get the image in focus and I had to take several shots, but I managed to get the shot.
The colors of yellow, green, and sky are just the right balance, and when you look at them, you feel as if you are being sucked in.

It is almost time for the cherry blossoms to start blooming, so I hope everyone enjoys cherry blossom viewing.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I look forward to working with you again this year.
Last year was a year of many troubles. Things didn’t go very well and I was depressed at times. This year, I would like to get back on track, try new things, and create fun and mysterious works!

Kaminari Shrine

I visited Kaminari Shrine again this year. It was still a little early for the fall foliage season, but the weather was clear and the shrine grounds were sparkling in the sunlight.

This is the third time I have gone to photograph autumn foliage, so I was looking for something interesting from a different perspective, but I found myself photographing many similar places as before.

I also like to take a picture of the torii gate from the area a little further up the stairs. I take a picture of it every time I come here.

When I take a photo looking up, I take it with a higher exposure because it will be darker, but then the sky will be too white, so it is quite difficult to take a well-balanced photo. I think it worked out rather well this time.

Huh! The white cat is sleeping… That’s right. It seems that meeting a white cat at a shrine is a very good thing spiritually, so I was allowed to pet the cat, hoping for good things in the future. By the way, I couldn’t take a cute picture with my camera, so I uploaded a picture of the white cat taken with my smartphone.

Finally, I casually included the white cat sleeping by the big tree in the shot. I was able to successfully finish photographing autumn leaves again this year. I hope to see the white cat again next year.

Catching the MESSAGE

Today I illustrated what I perceive when I take pictures.

From somewhere, an invisible signal called a message is flowing. I illustrate where I am trying to catch it. Well, it is difficult. Sometimes I am able to catch it, and sometimes I fail. If anything, most of the time it ends in failure. And even if I do catch them, if I can’t capture them myself in a photograph, it’s just a souvenir photo.
I will continue to collect all kinds of everyday wonders so that I can deliver a wonderful message to everyone.

Where did the name KARIN’S WORLD come from?

I am Karin, a photo artist. I would like to talk about the name of the store.
It was originally born in 2022. I saw the name NFT in the media and online at that time, and I wanted to sell my photos! So I started NFT. After setting up various settings, I uploaded the images I wanted to sell, and then there was a section that asked for the file name of the image. I thought for a moment and entered “KARIN’S WORLD” and started NFT. In the end, I left it less than three months later without selling a single copy, and recently deregistered. At first it was born as a name for NFT, but now it has become a store name and has been very successful. I will do my best to think “KARIN’S WORLD will grow so that lots of people can enjoy KARIN’S WORLD.”
